Green Days in Beverly Hills Sustainability Conference on October 18 and 19, 2008, will address practical solutions for Southern California residents they can implement in their
daily lives, concerns for their
impact on the environment and the economic viability of green and sustainable living.

2007 KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

*Edward Mazria* is an internationally recognized architect, author and educator who employs a cutting-edge environmental approach to design. He presented his innovative design methodology in The Passive Solar Energy Book, which is currently in use worldwide. Since forming the architecture and planning firm Mazria Associates, Inc. in 1978, Edward Mazria has completed a diverse number of award winning architecture and planning projects. Most recently Edward Mazria has reshaped the national and international dialogue on climate change to incorporate building design and the Building Sector. His research includes US and global building sector analysis and greenhouse gas mitigation strategies. He is the architect of both the AIA’s position statement and the US Conference of Mayor’s Resolution #50 adopting The 2030 ºChallenge as a means of dramatically reducing building sector greenhouse-gas emissions.

*Stanford R. Ovshinsky* is Founder and Chief
Scientist and Technologist of Energy Conversion
Devices, Inc. (ECD Ovonics) headquartered in
Rochester Hills, Michigan. He and his wife, the late
Dr. Iris M. Ovshinsky, founded ECD Ovonics in
1960 to continue his work in the field of amorphous
and disordered materials, which he originated in
1955. His fundamental and basic contributions
established the field, yielding unexpected new
physical, chemical and electronic mechanisms of
great scientific and industrial importance. His
pioneering work has become the enabling
technology in four major areas: /energy generation/, including thin-film, triple-junction photovoltaics
and regenerative non-noble metal fuel cells; /energy
storage/, including Ovonic nickel metal hydride
consumer and electric and hybrid vehicle batteries
and solid hydrogen storage; /information systems/,
including amorphous semiconductors; and,
/atomically designed synthetic materials/ for a
wide variety of uses.

*Hunter Lovins* is the president and founder of Natural Capitalism Solutions, Inc. and co- creator of the Natural Capitalism concept. In 1982 she co-founded Rocky Mountain Institute with Amory Lovins, and proceeded to lead that organization as its CEO for Strategy until 2002. Under her leadership, RMI grew into an internationally recognized research center, widely celebrated for its innovative thinking in energy and resource issues. In 2001, Hunter was named one
of four people from North America to serve as a delegate to the United Nations Prep Conference for Europe and North America for the World
Summit on Sustainable Development. She is also a Commissioner in the State of the World Forum's Commission on Globalization, co-chaired by
Mikhail Gorbachev, Jane Goodall, Jose Ramos-Horta, Vandana Shiva, George Soros and others.

*Neel Bradham* serves as the Vice President of Business Development for Interface, Inc., where his primary responsibilities include; strategic
planning, mergers and acquisitions, new venture development and corporate communications. He also has overall management and oversight
of Interface’s global sustainable strategy group and the new venture, InterfaceRAISE. In this position he oversees a team focused on providing
technical assistance, measurement and data management, program development, and communications and marketing support to Interface’s global businesses.
